Fish Crumb Fry Recipe: A Crispy Delight

Recipes

Ingredients:  250g fish fillets (boneless) * see notes

2-3 tsp maida (all-purpose flour)1/2 tsp (or to taste) pepper powder , 2 tsp vinegar , Salt to taste (about 1/2 tsp) , 1/2 cup bread crumbs , 1 egg , Oil for shallow frying

Instructions:  Begin by washing the fish fillets and cutting them into finger-sized pieces. Place them on a cloth to remove excess moisture.

In a bowl, create a paste by mixing vinegar, salt, pepper, and maida. Gently marinate the fish pieces in this mixture. Set them aside for a minimum of 1 hour.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame. Lightly beat the egg in a small bowl. Dip each marinated fish piece in the egg and then coat it with bread crumbs. Ensure that all sides are coated evenly, either by using a knife or your fingers.

Fry the coated fish pieces in the heated oil until they turn golden brown on both sides.

Serve the Fish Crumb Fry hot, accompanied by tomato sauce or ketchup for dipping.

Notes:  You can use fish fillets from any type of fish, especially if ready-made fillets are available. Large Pomfrets, whether white or black, work exceptionally well because their meat is flavorful. Using large-sized fish ensures proper fillets and minimizes wastage.

Conclusion:  Fish Crumb Fry, with its crispy exterior and tender interior, is a crowd-pleaser that appeals to all ages. Whether served as an appetizer or a snack, these fish fingers are sure to vanish from the plate in no time. The subtle flavors of the marinated fish, coupled with the satisfying crunch of the breadcrumbs, make this dish a favorite among seafood lovers. Enjoy this simple yet delightful recipe on any occasion or as a quick treat.
